I have to ask this question. You see, little Ben is asking for $12 Million a year for 6 years, equaling $72 million. The Bulls, are offering him more than what he’s worth with a contract for 6 years and $59 million. Is this guy insane? Let’s recap what Ben offers and how in the world he could be requesting $12 mil per year.
1. He’s 6′2 and can’t dribble.
2. He can’t defend anyone at his position.
3. He is turnover prone without getting many assists.
4. At 6′2, you would think he would have impeccable speed for $12 mil a year, but he only gets 0.8 steals per game.
Basically, what the basketball world is realizing is that Ben Gordon and his agent are insane. What NBA team wants to start a guy who is immensely undersized at shooting guard, can’t dribble and does not get steals or blocks? None. That’s how many. I’ll admit that Ben can score, and score a lot. If he could only pass and dribble, then he would be an all-star and an unstoppable player…but alas, he can’t. He can come into a game for 20 minutes and hit two 3-pointers and a few mid-range jumpers and give his team a lift. I’m wagering, he’ll get paid no more than $10 million a season, which is more than what he’s worth. Ben should take the Bulls offer and run with it, but he’s being a bit greedy and thinks he’s better than he actually is.
