Could this rumor be true? Are the Knicks really going to give up on defenseless Zack Randolph for unproven bust, Darko Milicic and journeyman Marko Jaric? It is being reported by Bleacher Report that this trade could be a possibility. If it does go through, I’ll definitely be catching some Memphis games on NBA League Pass. They will have a seriously fun team to watch with OJ Mayo, Conley, Rudy Gay and Randolph lighting it up. Will they win games? No. On the other hand, it pretty much doesn’t matter what the Knicks do. They are going to be a very bad team for some time to come. It would be in their interest however to at least attempt to shed some garbage contracts. Randolph does not play D. He blocks about .2 shots a game and gets about .5 steals. I say let him go and start the rebuilding process…..again.
Oh and by the way, how high does Randolph look in this picture. It looks like him and Marbury were just out in the parking lot smoking a blunt.
Hoops World is reporting that Sheed might be dealt to Charlotte. This would return him to his old stomping grounds in North Carolina. We’ll just have to wait and see…but I will say he’s mightily over-priced and has the mind of 5 year-old child. Maybe Charlotte should reconsider.

Word on the street is the Warriors are taking a good/hard look at ex-Clipper, Shaun Livingston. From the bottom of my heart, I do hope that Shaun is able to make the grade in the NBA after his teeth clenching, mind numbing knee injury in 2006. I was watching that game, and I’ll tell you it makes the most hardened, testosterone-filled man cringe in horror at the very sight of it. You really do wonder why he isn’t already signed though, after being let go by the Clippers this off season. It makes me think that he has lost a significant amount of mobility from tearing every ligament in his knee.
Although he is a high-risk player, I do think he is also high reward. At 6-7, he can defend point guards, shooting guards and small forwards on the opposing team. It’s rare to find a player who stands 6-7 that can handle, shoot and defend in the same breath. Only time will tell if he lost his explosiveness and confidence after his horrendous injury.

How many times have we heard this story? Player gets awarded huge contract, then player gets severly injured after his huge payday. Monta Ellis has been injured playing a pick-up game in his hometown of Jackson, Mississippi. He is scheduled for repairing surgery today, and probably won’t suit up until January. That’s a sad situation for Warriors fans, who were looking forward to seeing their golden boy drop 25 a game this season and lead them to the eight spot in the playoffs.
On the bright side, this will give recent low-budget signee, Marcus Williams time to develop and show the fans in Oakland what he is made of. Looks like 08-09 will be another rebuilding season for the Warriors where the young guys will get to develop….once again.
